Track Events

This page is for various track events that I have done in my ti. For happy surfing, I have made links to the photos.

Autocross - October 1997

My first track event ever was a BMW CCA Boston Chapter autocross in October, 1997. The Boston Chapter's autocrosses are held in a section of a parking lot at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire. The x-brace was the only modification I had done at this point. This was also the end of a little 318ti mailing list get-together we had for the weekend.

Check out a couple of pictures of me at the autocross. These were taken by Ron Katona of the 318ti mailing list, who was there for the get-together.

Driving School - NHIS - October 1997

The October 1997 Driving School at NHIS (New Hampshire International Speedway) was an awesome experience. This was also a BMW CCA Boston Chapter event. This was my first time driving on a real race track and was loads of fun as well as being a great learning experience. I can't wait for more schools.

Here are some pictures of me at the driving school. Dan Mull, a professional photographer (I think) was there to do this, so for $15 he sent me two 4x6's and one 8x10. Definitely a bargain. The x-brace was still the only modification I had done at this time, but as you can see in these photos, I have the clear Euro indicators.
